Clare stamped the fall scene using Momento black ink, so that she could use alcohol markers without the image smearing.  She colored the image and used the Art Glitter Designer Dries clear glitter and Ultrafine tip to apply the 280 Lime Rind Glitter to the leaves and centers of the Sunflowers.  She applied 110 Taupe to the cornstalks in the same manner.
To achieve the texture I the mums, Clare applied several small dots to some of each flowers petals, but not the entire flower.  She sprinkled on the D95 Guava Art Hexi Transparent glitter.   To add dimension and glitter to the cornstalks, she used Art Glitter Taupe and she used Lime rind on the sunflowers, pumpkin stalks, and leaves. To get the fine detail, Clare loves the Art Glitter ultrafine tip and Designer dries clear glue! She then set this aside and allowed it to dry.  Once dry she matted it on brown card stock.
She stamped the sentiment onto a piece of chipboard and distress inked the edges.  She then matted the arrow on a bit of orange card stock.  She added a scrap of khaki colored zipper and a scalloped velvet ribbon using glue dots.

Cake Challenge Birthday Card

I'm up for another challenge to get a project done.  This one is a birthday card and I am entering it into Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Me Monday:  Have Your Cake Challenge 181.    The Happy Birthday to you and bottom line of music is from Paper Lace 2, welded to a circle from George in CCR and the cupcake is Cricut Close to My Heart Art Philosophy Cartridge.  I cut some overhead clear sheets to make a see through card front and placed the lace cut on top.  I doodled some faux stitching and place a bit of ribbon under the cupcake motif and the card is finished.

Falling Leaves Thanksgiving Page

I am jumping in and trying this weeks challenge over at Bitten by the Bug:  Fall Leaves are Falling Challenge.  I used one of my all time favorite cartridges for the circle with leaves:   Storytime.  I know, you didn't know that Storytime had this cut did you?!  Well sometimes I love a challenge at BBTB2 because I get on CCR and search for the shape in the challenge and realize that I completely missed a cut on a cart I have that I have to use on a page or a card!  So, this shape came up when I searched for leaf.  The title is Cricut Close to My Heart Artiste.  Paper is Me and My Big Ideas.

To get the look of this beautiful page just follow these instructions:  Using silver card stock, cut 6 trellis heart motifs using the Heartfelt Creations Timeless Amour Die.  Cut circle from a second sheet of the silver card stock and thread with ribbon and tie.  Place teal paper behind the trellis hearts and mat inside the circle.  Mat on black card stock.  Cut two Decorative Window dies in black card stock and clip apart to form vines for flowers, doodle with a silver gel pen.

Create the largest flower using Heartfelt Creations Flora Grand Sets one and two (I believe these sets are retired, but I have been a fan of HC that long) on coffee filters already inked in blue and cut with Nestabilities Blossom 3.  To get the best shape, clip to the center and curl edges around an artist paint brush handle.   Fill flower center with Want2Scrap silver pearls.   Create more flowers using the Heartfelt Creations Posy Patch Flowers and DelicateAsters Sets.  Stamp label fussy cut from paper with sentiment from Hydrangea Posy Branch set (You're One in a million)  paper already says "Perfect for me."  Cut dotted stripe from printed paper.  Crop photo into circle and tuck under edges of HC die cuts.  Stamp the organza fabric with Heartfelt Creations Innocents Flowers Precut set, cut flowers with Nestabilities blossom Die, clip petals into the center.  Place a clear glue dot in the center of the organza flower and crumple to create an unopened flower.  I love that I can cut fabric with HC dies!

Gaming Boy Birthday Thank You Card

Every year I try to make my boys birthday special with their birthday party cards and favors.  This year, my oldest turns 14 and not all of Mom's craft efforts are considered cool.  So, I made this years cards around his birthday party theme of video gaming.  I found an image of an Xbox control online and traced it using SCAL2.  It didn't trace the buttons well but the buttons were easy to created with the shapes in SCAL2.  I used Close to My Heart Cricut Artiste and matching stamp set for the thanks!

Crazy for Creative Memories and Cricut Blog Hop

Welcome to the first stop on the Crazy for Creative Memories and Cricut Blog hop!  I started scrap booking over 15 years ago and some of the first products I purchase were Creative Memories.  Along with albums, papers and adhesives I soon became of the Cricut cutting machine and their design software!
One of my scrap booking friends is a Creative Memories consultant and I have heard from her that the company is not doing well and will soon reemerge with a new name and some major change in their product line.  I began a quest in August to purchase any of the Creative Memories Cricut Cartridges on my with list and wanted to share with others the cuts I love on them.   So, I hope this small blog hop shows you what lovely images these carts have and maybe some ideas for using them!
The doily in the center of the page is cut with Creative Memories Holiday Tags and Frames.  I cut the top layer in white and threaded through a red velvet ribbon.  The Santa Dear is cut with Creative Memories Tis the Season Cricut Cartridge.
The background paper was purchases at a garage sale and had no labeling. The grid paper is Basic Grey.  For the blue scalloped edge, I used the Stampin'n Up large Rosette cutting die and did NOT fold the rosette and used it for a border strip instead.

And what's a hop without a prize?!  So, I am giving away the following Cricut Expression or Cake Machine Dust Cover (NO machine included) with free shipping to US and Canada for the winner.  To be entered to win, please leave a comment below with a way to reach you via email.  To help protect your email from spam, leave the address in the following format "ssmith at hotmail dot com."  Thanks for joining us on the hop!
The next stop on the hop is Alicia's blog: Golden Goddess Designs!
